Physician Coaching Academy
Have YOU considered becoming a coach for physicians?
I often get asked by physicians and leaders who want to make a difference in physician wellbeing about how to get started as a coach, or how to create a peer coaching program at their institution.
This is exciting news because it is going to take a community of committed physicians to help stem the tide of physician burnout, and I believe there is more need for coaching than the current number of coaches can provide.
Peer coaching for physicians is the future of medicine.
In The Physician Coaching Academy (TM), you will learn how to become an effective and skilled coach. My students are powerful coaches who are changing the face of medicine, and you can become one too.
Briefly, it’s a 10 week coach training program that will give a physician the skills that they need to coach other doctors. We meet in a group online, so you have practical skills as well as a complete toolkit. It’s “see one, do one, teach one” in this group.
This is my second year of teaching the Physician Coach Training Program and it has been refined over the sessions to be laser-focused. You will learn quickly, yet deeply in this program.
“I was surprised at how much I learned in class”—A graduate of the Physician Coach Training Program
The trainees have been physicians and physician leaders who want to make a difference–residency program directors, a vice-chair of Medicine, and other physicians in academia and private practice.
They have gone on to use their skill set to do great coaching. Some have started a formal peer coaching program in their organization, and some have started their own private practice in coaching after the training.
The next session begins on September 10, 2019. Don’t miss this opportunity!
The Physician Coaching Academy and the Physician Coach Training program are part of a growing movement where physicians come together to help each other. Physician peer coaching works.
If we can help each other personally, one-to-one, then together we can change the healthcare system to make it the ideal place for physicians to practice for as long as they want to.
I believe in the power of relationships and connection, and doctors are some of the best people that I have ever met.As a coach for physicians, I have had the great honor and joy of helping my colleagues. They regain their purpose and get back on track when they were suffering from burnout and considering leaving medicine, or having stress at work, or having difficulty communicating with staff. My clients live the lives that they had been dreaming of on their way to work–lives with rich purpose and meaning.
